Turning Local Stories into 65,000 Views: Nantwich Info Content Day
Following our Social Reset Power Hour Liz decided to put what we had discussed into practice and booked a content day.
Nantwich Info is a popular local platform that celebrates the town, its businesses and its community.
While the Facebook page had around 3,600 followers, the content needed a clearer structure and a consistent flow of engaging videos that would:
• Highlight local businesses
• Showcase what makes Nantwich special
• Encourage more people to interact with the page
Rather than simply posting more often, the goal was to create content with purpose.
Limited time for content creation
Asking questions that would create engaging answers that would spark debate
Over 65,000 views from the first 4 videos
Most hitting over 10,000 views with the best performing video hitting 24,000 on Facebook alone
We started with a Social Reset (Power Hour) session to review the account and develop a clear direction for the content.
During this session we identified several content pillars that would guide future videos:
1. Why People Love Nantwich
Short interviews with residents and visitors sharing their favourite things about the town.
2. Business Spotlights
Featuring local businesses, especially those listed on the Nantwich Info platform that might not always promote themselves heavily on social media.
3. Local Recommendations
Quick-fire questions such as:
• Best coffee in Nantwich
• Hidden gems in town
• Best free things to do
These pillars allowed us to create content that felt authentic, community-led and highly shareable.
To bring the strategy to life, we organised a dedicated content day in Nantwich.
Across the day we filmed:
• Liz presenting around the town
• Drone footage showcasing Nantwich from above
• Interviews with local business owners
• Vox pop style interviews with people in town
The aim was to capture enough material to create a bank of content for the coming months.
From one filming day we planned to produce around 20 short-form videos, allowing Nantwich Info to post 1–2 reels per week.
Even in the early stages, the results have been strong.
From the first four videos published:
• 65,000+ people reached
• One video exceeding 24,000 views
• Strong engagement from the local community
All of this came from an account with just 3,600 followers.
Importantly, the videos weren’t built around viral trends or memes.
They were simply good, authentic local stories about Nantwich and the people who make the town special.
Three key factors made the project successful:
Strategy first
The Social Reset ensured every piece of content had a clear purpose.
Community-focused content
Local people and businesses were at the heart of every video.
Batch content creation
One content day created enough material for weeks of posting.
You don’t always need trends, memes or complex editing to create successful social media content.
Sometimes the most powerful content is simply telling real stories about real people.
And when those stories celebrate a place people genuinely love, the community does the rest.
